2011 Outstanding Achievement by a School

Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design has transformed itself, in the space of eight years, from a small, comprehensive high school to the only specialist visual arts and design high school in NSW. It has developed a reputation, not only for excellence in the delivery of its curriculum specialisation, but also for the delivery of a high quality academic program and student welfare initiatives resulting in our winning the award. Congratulations to all Staff and Students!

Ms Katsianis won her award for
Outstanding Service of Public Education by a Teacher

Emily has been nominated for this award for her Outstanding Contribution toward Student Leadership at this school. Elected Co-School Captain for 2011, Emily became only the second ATSI student in this school’s history to assume this position. Whilst a major achievement and great example for any student her participation in student leadership serves to give confidence to younger ATSI students that they too can aspire to such roles.

    Important Information

Dulwich High School is a “nut” free school!

Click here for our locker policy

We have changed to a two week cycle. Each term begins with Week A, next year on the 28th January (when teachers start) so, the following week when the students return it will be Week B. Longer periods mean that there are only four (4) periods per day. Note, however, the starting time is now 8:50 A.M. and school finishes at 3:00 P.M. except Tuesdays.

Tuesdays have shorter periods because it includes both our Assembly and sport. School finishes after sport at 2:30 P.M.

A copy of our new timetable may be downloaded from here.

NOTE: Every term begins with Week A whether or not the previous term finished on a Week A or Week B.

    Students/Parents’ Website

We have a special (linked) Website just for you. The login information should have already been received by all students. Registration is no longer necessary. However, some have tried to use it on the main site without luck. It will only work on the website that can be accessed by clicking on the Students Menu item above right or bookmark the following URL – http://dhsvad.nsw.edu.au/students/

If you have any difficulties, please leave a message in the Contact Us area with the student’s name & roll class, and we will try to remedy the situation.
